The purpose of this event is to promote discussion and awareness of a range of futurist ideas, promises and perils, including, but not limited to biotechnology, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and how they relate to our future of economics, communication, medicine, food, energy and manufacturing.

There will be highly pertinent contributions to the range of topics to be discussed at the Summit. The Summit will feature renowned presenters in various fields, could be considered as similar to the TED conferences in some ways, and will be a great opportunity for networking with like minded people. "Technological singularity" refers to a prediction in Futurology that technological progress will become extremely fast, and consequently will make the future unpredictable and qualitatively different from today.
